IEEE COMSOC POLICY: To be published in the IEEE ISPLC Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full (IEEE member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented at the conference. Registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers. If you have more than 3 papers, an extra paper can be purchased at a cost of $200. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2014 Conference Proceedings. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2014 Conference Proceedings and in IEEE Xplore. Student and IEEE Life Member registration are not valid as an author registration.

All final manuscripts submitted to ISPLC 2014 must be checked or converted by IEEE PDF eXpress service to guarantee compatibility with IEEE Xplore.

Submission steps:

  • The papers must be formatted according to the templates for IEEE conferences. The maximum paper length is 6 printed pages (10-point Times font) including figures.
  • Revise your final manuscript, taking into careful consideration all reviewers' comments.
  • Create an IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file.
    1. Go to the IEEE PDF eXpress site.

    3. Upload source file(s) for Conversion and/or PDF(s) for checking.
The use of PDF eXpress allows for attaining Xplore-compatible PDFs. The site contains extensive instructions, resources, and helpful hints.

  "Recent Results" Session

Following on from ISPLC 2013, we offer participants the chance to present their work in a "Recent Results" session. This will be part of the technical program of ISPLC 2014, and contain short oral presentations followed by a moderated Q&A. The presented work will not be published as part of the conference; however this will be an excellent opportunity to expose recent work to other experts in the field and receive stimulation and feedback.
If interested, please contact Stephan Weiss (stephan.weiss(at)
