Welcome to IEEE ISPLC 2014!

The 18th IEEE International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications (ISPLC) will provide a unique forum to exchange innovative research ideas, recent results, and share experiences among researchers and practitioners in the field of communication over power lines and cables. We would like to cordially invite you to participate in the eighteenth edition of this symposium, which will be held in Glasgow, Scotland.

The technical programme comprises of three keynote speakers --- Stephen McLaughlin (Heriot-Watt University; impulse noise modelling), David Parish (Loughborough University; anomaly detection in network traffic) and Graham Dudgeon (Mathworks, model-based design for smart grid) --- a workshop on channel emulation by our main sponsor, Devolo --- an expert panel, and 60 technical papers organised in 16 sessions, which describe original, previously unpublished research work, experimental efforts, practical experiences, and industrial and commercial developments in all aspects power line communications.
